Graham Moffat began the business of Castle Hill Furniture Company from
his garage in the early 1991 mainly doing home
alterations and building kitchens. Eventually he realised his real
love was furniture and he began designing and making several styles of
bedroom furniture.
Blessed with great design talent, the ability to conceptualise
and to relate his ideas to people, the business grew rapidly and soon
moved to premises in Lincoln Road. Continued demand soon saw the
Company outgrow these premises and in 1994 it moved to the present
location at 94 Bryon Street, Sydenham, Christchurch, where it has
continued to go from strength to strength. Additions to the
factory in early 2001 to increase the factory workshop space by 2000 sq
feet have allowed the Company to meet the increased demand for it's
product while providing a superior working environment for our
craftsmen.
The Company's overriding philosophy has always been to make "Beautiful,
Traditional and Affordable" furniture and we aim
to continue doing this.
Castle Hill Furniture Company's range is extensive and we will
in fact make almost anything you want provided, as Graham say's "it
looks good, cause I don't make ugly furniture".
The Company makes furniture for almost every room in your home
from Bedroom to Dining to Dressers and Sofa Tables for the Lounge and
much much more. If it's made of wood it's highly likely we can
make it for you and it will be............ "Beautiful,
Traditional and Affordable".
